Building clarity, credibility and comparability in impact measurement

The AECF has managed close to 40 Challenge Funds since its inception across 26 countries in Africa. We have supported over 343 enterprises, raising US$ 392 million in funding for programmes, that have created 25,000 jobs and impacted 28 million lives. The businesses and investees we have supported have co-invested substantially more than the AECF initial investments totaling to US$ 751 million with an average impact ratio of US$ 8.7 to every US$1 invested.
