Knowledge is a vital tool for preparing SMEs for investment and scale-up. Through the research we undertake, and insights gathered from our portfolios, we share knowledge for strengthening communities, companies and markets. We deliver publications, policy briefs and sector studies to advocate for a more facilitative market across Sub-Saharan Africa.

We are a convener of players across the sectors, where we influence market systems through policy and advocacy initiatives aimed at making regulatory, financial, technical, institutional and market conditions work for SMEs. We work with national taskforces, Technical Working Groups (TWGs), committees, donor platforms, advisory groups and industry associations.
