Sector Team Lead – Renewable Energy and Climate Technologies
Caroline is the Sector Team Lead – Renewable Energy and Climate Technologies. She has more than 18 years of experience in project management and implementation in the renewable energy, water and sanitation, gender and governance sectors.
Before joining AECF, Caroline worked at Tetra Tech (Africa Clean Energy Technical Assistance Facility Programme) as the Demand-led Facility Lead and Country Manager for Kenya, Somalia and Ghana. She has held leadership positions at RTI- Power Africa Off-grid Programme, Energy 4 Impact, Rainforest Alliance and SNV-Netherlands Development Organization.
Her expertise is in decentralized clean energy access, strategy development, programme design and implementation, and policy advocacy. For over a decade, she has been on the frontlines providing strategic leadership to renewable energy programmes, working with governments, private companies and renewable energy associations to advance access to decentralized clean energy solutions for cooking and electrification across Africa.
She holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, both from Moi University.
