Our past work has shown us the potential for transformation for low-income households when SMEs are supported with finance and intentional technical advisory support. We provide targeted, practical training and knowledge to our investees, as well as small and growing businesses in the agribusiness and renewable energy sectors in sub-Saharan Africa.

The key focus of the AECF’s Investment Advisory Services is to impart practical skills and advice that strengthens our operational efficiencies, enabling access to markets and building competitiveness. Delivered through the AECF Advisory Studio, our advisory services cover strategy, financial management, marketing, sales and distribution, operations, as well as environmental social and governance (ESG).

At the AECF, we support our investees to raise capital from investors and lenders that extends their project impact by ensuring continued financial support from larger investors.
We carry out investment readiness, where we work hand-in-hand with our investees to ensure that they have strategies, plans, documents and data needed to secure additional funding or support.
Beyond investor readiness, we undertake investment facilitation where match-making, investor engagement and deal closing is done.
