VMP (Virtual Market Place) is a web based portal where research institutions showcase technologies they have available that are ready for uptake by the private sector.

Private sector companies use the VMP to access ideas, contacts and further information from researchers about profitable technologies available for African agriculture.

Ideas and business plans brokered through the VMP can access financial resources from the AECF- Research Into Business Window.

The VMP Blog

The VMP Blog will be used by AECF to post updates on new research and technology links available in the VMP area from various research institutions.

Excitement is high at the AECF office following the launch of a really big idea...the VMP! The results of months of work, email, phone calls and face to face contacts are beginning to be available. Now the private sector all around Africa can have easier access to the outputs of our research institutions.

VMP is starting small, imperfect, and incomplete...like a caterpillar. The butterfly is coming!!

The Virtual Market Place

The VMP is now open with its first listings and partners and will continue to grow over time.

It is still under construction and we ask for patience - as well as any comments you may have that can make it better.

AECF will be making efforts to get more research institutions from around Africa, and beyond, to list technologies they have available for African agriculture.
