Fahad Awadh, an ambitious 29-year old entrepreneur from Tanzania, recently moved back home from Canada to set up a cashew processing facility in Tanzania in an effort to bring international standards and traceability to the cashew nut industry. He founded YYTZ Agro-Processing which has recently raised a $500,000 investment from the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund after applying in its AECF Tanzania Round 4 Window. The funds will be used to assist YYTZ establish a processing facility in Mtwara, South Eastern Tanzania that will benefit farmers and the market at large.
